Exsilium’s final days are here, and there are choices to be made.
Along with manning the Transporter for its final deactivation, the AI will also provide coordinates for destruction of the most pertinent UE military bases. Destroying these will ensure that the UE doesn’t reconstruct its AI now that it’s been destroyed by the efforts of the Transports and the sacrifice of Angel, and that the UE will lose its cross-dimensional technology. No one wants to be followed home, after all, right?
These missions are volunteer-only, and will require fighters and planners alike to go smoothly. The missions themselves may be played out in the threads provided for them on the log, or you may handwave your character’s involvement as background info for the goodbyes portion of the log. The missions will be completed earlier in the week, on the 7th - 9th, and the final activation of the Transporter will occur on the 14th.
Now then… do you stay? Or do you go?
Those who stay will be needed to help rebuild the world. It will be reeling after the lost of its government. Citizens of the UE will begin to suffer extreme withdrawal symptoms after the loss of their placating drug, verstatsi, and the anti-addictive drug will need to be distributed to save lives — and that will be only the start of their troubles. Those who stay will have a long and difficult road ahead of them, and their help will be sorely needed.
Those who go, can go to anywhere they’d like. Any world that has ever been touched by the Transporter is able to be accessed, and that goes for any time ever touched by the Transporter as well. Characters need not return to the canon points they originally left, nor do they need to return to their original world at all. And when they go, they’ll have full memories of their time in Exsilium. Characters can even spend their last week visiting various worlds, but come March 14th, the world they’re in will be the world they stay in.
Choose wisely, Transports. The war is over, both sides have been brought low, and you’re free, for once, to do as you will.
The final log is here, and will be open for tagging for as long as anyone would like to keep tagging it, there's no intended date for closing it. Main community posts will be allowed until March 14th.
And as a final note, Tess commissioned a song for Exsilium from Alexander Rosetti. c: It’s a pretty friggin sweet one, and can be heard right here. Let’s have a themesong to play us off in our final log! Happy threading, and to players still with us and players who have joined us for any part of the ride, you have the profound gratitude of the entire mod team, past and current, for making this game such a fantastic and memorable place. Thank you for giving me the chance to tell stories with you guys… it’s been an unforgettable experience that I will always count among my favorite memories.
