So I'm leaving Thursday on family vacation. We're going to have all six kids in my family in one place for the first time in two years and we're going to be in mountains away from regular internet, so my activity is going to essentially vanish for a little while. I also don't actually know yet if I'm going to have more than minimal internet, so! I'm going to try not to vanish completely but it'll probably be pretty close.

I'm going to be there for two weeks and then I'm going to be visiting Jansen so I'll probably remain slow for a while. If there is anything we're doing that you'd like a more timely end for let me know and I'll try to make sure I either help wind it up before I go or talk over a handwaved ending with you!

hitting me up on plurk should still get a message to me at least eventually, aim probably won't be a good method of communication, annnnd i think that's all. let me know if there's anything you wanted to talk about before i vanish!

Hey, Exsilium! More freshmeat here. I'm Heebee (beltsquid) and I'll be your new Elena Fisher from Uncharted. Thanks for having me aboard and I look forward to playing with all of you!

This is just a quick note to say that the shadow beasties are now crawlin' around town, as explained here. They won't be too populous until Thursday, though. Feel free to run into'em!

Some notes, though:

They aren't totally invisible, but their shape in the physical plane is difficult to discern. You may see a burning eye or an ethereal claw here or there, but they are largely intangible. Again, they can neither physically harm your character nor be physically harmed themselves. Their effect is purely magical/psychological.

So. I don't want to clog up the ooc comm with just me apologizing, but uh... I've been kind of M.I.A. lately due to anxiety. And unfortunately, some tags got lost in the cracks these past few months. So I'm sorry for my fail :(

But I'm back from hiatus with Luna and Peeta, and slowly and nervously poking at my tags. Just a note that I'm going to have to drop some threads for a fresh start. 

Hey, Exsilium!

Just a quick announcement of a new job opportunity coming your way, which effectively brings with it a new mode of transportation around the city. I'm aware Exsilium pretttty much just bit the dust and is undergoing a lot of recovery, so don't worry, it's nothing fancy... but I would love for it to be eventually! I'm talking about a new taxi cab service, courtesy of Asami Sato, because let's face it: buses run on too tight of a schedule and people have places to be and things to haul.

So first thing's first: for now, Asami will be available to drive people around on her motorcycle as a service. Feel free to hit up her IC Inbox for CR-building purposes down that avenue! In addition, there is a handful of totally rad pedicabs for which Asami is hiring drivers. Not as cool or fast as driving a car, but we have limitations!

I would love to see this progress, though, so engineers and mechanics: when the IC post about this goes up (shortly), your help will be summoned.

For those interested in earning some extra cash, Asami is hiring drivers ages fourteen and over—and that applies to if and when motor vehicles become a part of this as well. A percentage will go back to Asami so that she can pay engineers and mechanics to help refurbish a couple vehicles... so tip your drivers. Later on, if motor vehicles become a thing, Asami will totally provide driving lessons. Aww yis.

Also looking for investors HAHA because I like nitty-gritty. BUT YEAH so Asami has been saving up in the event of a business venture. If you've ever seen an episode of Shark Tank (which all of you should because that show is the best ever), it'll work like that; if you invest, you get a percentage back... etc., that can get complicated, we don't all have that much free time so I'm open to both handwaving and roleplaying things like negotiations and such. (Anyhow, at the end of the day Asami needs to own at least 51% of the company, so probably like three investors max... or something idek.)

I think I might've had more to say, but I'm forgetting. So if you're interested in getting in on this operation, let me know! Those of you who have threaded with me before know I can either be really on top of things or bogged down by RL for days at a time, so I'm pretty conscientious of everyone else's schedules and totally okay with both roleplaying and handwaving. Hopefully more roleplaying though! ;) Like I said, this is something small that I would love to see grow, so let's do it to it.

ETA 2 The network post is actually happening a little later until a few more things are squared away! I received awesome feedback from Jansen that makes the situation a little more complex, but definitely all the better.
