This upcoming Saturday is app_this_plz, and I accidentally volunteered myself to organize it because that's what I do with my life. Yes, it should look like a textarea after you post, too - that lets me copy all the formatting. Also, put the canon in your subject, and if other people have more characters for the same canon they want, they can just reply with the extra character names!

Also, please list all your canonmates under 'taken'! I don't have time to double-check against the list, and last month there were some characters that would've been left off if other players hadn't caught it and let me know.

Due to final exams of my course at Uni being on Friday I'm going to be taking a very short Hiatus to focus on study and the exam itself.

This affects Celena and Crucible, sorry to those I've got threads with currently, I'll jump on those again as soon as exams are over.

Angel here, sad to say I gotta pack my bags and take Tess out of the game. The quarter and work caught me really bad, and I don't see things getting any better with the holidays around the corner and me working retail. So it's a little bittersweet, but I gotta go.

Just an apology for my disappearance the last... three weeks, basically. Things have been insane and I suspect they will keep being a bit insane for a while, because full time school has been replaced by full time retail work leading up to Christmas. At the present moment I am not on hiatus, simply because I think I'm sorted for November activity and I'm hoping to try and get some tagging done, but I may need to look at doing something for December, which might just wind up including a tactical canon update to make life easier.

My hope is to backdate and go through things especially with regards to the mutiny plot with Helena, the zombie things with both Helena and Donny, and clinic things for Donny. Please don't hesitate to bring particular things to my attention - pm to this account or bumbles is probably a good way to do it, I'm just having trouble sitting at my computer long enough to sift through plurk at the moment. And I promise I haven't dropped anything, it's just been a matter of all my time and energy getting eaten up by IRL.

I'm going to try and do a recap of clinic things so everyone involved with that is up to date, too. But... yes! I'M SORRY PLS FORGIVE

So yes as the title says, Natsu will be disappearing from the station starting with the 17th. He will be gone for about three to four days to give the gang time to post some reactions and break my heart as payback for when I did the same. On return he's going to be a little worse for wear but I won't spoil too much. So yes. Say goodbye to the salamander for a while.

I want to apologize for how slow my tags have been this past week. Life is getting really busy and hectic as I prepare to apply for residencies! I don't expect things to slow down as we move into December, so just to be safe, I've officially gone on hiatus. I'm sure I'll be tagging slowly throughout the hiatus, but I just wanted to give everyone a head's up.

HELLO ALL vanadi has been out of the game for a canon update for like... oh god the last two weeks or so, which is why i haven't tagged anything in forever with him. i was going to bring him back for the mutiny but have suddenly recalled that school is a beast, so i'm pushing his return back to post-finals, dec 7th!

still around with ashraf, jan, and khisanth, and the flirting will resume in early december.
edit no JUST KIDDING full hiatus!! :'| hopefully for just like a week, but potentially into december 7th for everyone.

Rodimus will have been back in his own world starting yesterday until the 21st for a canon update that brings him to the end of MtMtE #22, thanks to a go-ahead by Ish.

There's nothing too earth shattering about this update, just bringing him to a nice break in canon before a giant crossover event and solidifying some hinted character development. Such as his recognition that mayyyyyyybe he has terrible leadership skills.

Trying to keep on top of all the grad school apps I have to get together in the next month is kicking my ass more than expected. As a result I've slowed way down on tags (unintentionally! But it happened). I'm going to keep going as best as I can (and hopefully not be as slow as I have been the past few weeks) and keep backtagging but just PSA this will probably last until about mid-December when I finish making decisions and get it all sent in.

So at first I was just thinking that I'd go on an air-quotes hiatus for midterms because I have a problem and can't actually stop tagging for the duration of a hiatus when a computer is nearby. But then I just logged into Richter's account thinking he was Heat and now I don't even know what I'm doing anymore /face in hands

I'll be on hiatus until about the 25th at the latest (which is when midterms slow down until finals roll around in December). TAGS WILL BE GLACIAL but they will be done but if people want to just handwave stuff I'm fine with that too. Backtagging is also great!

This'll affect Richter (enduringwinter), Heat (sorrowfulcry) and Yosuke (juneshero).

In light of Mahdi's shifting perspective concerning gender identity, I've begun to use non-gender specific pronouns to refer to Mahdi in my tags: instead of him/himself, hir/hirself, he = ze, or simply 'they' - as well as 'she' when Mahdi is dressing completely as female. In Mahdi's society it is not uncommon for people to be all manner of queer, including androgyny and gender-fluidity (hir obsession/interest in human culture is considered a lot weirder), and it's basically accepted with little to no fanfare. You are who you are. It's all good as long as you obey the Charter. Always obey the Charter. Thus, the idea of 'coming out' is pretty foreign to Mahdi, though ze is aware it is something humans often do.

To clarify, Mahdi identifies as androgynous/more female leaning. Currently, Mahdi is struggling because how do people even talk about this stuff what are the words to use why can't I just go with the flow and worried it might complicate friendships. This will likely be a journey for Mahdi: there are several aspects in this shift of self-identification that are still blossoming.

I just wanted to give a heads-up for anyone who might be confused at the sudden change in pronouns. Since the idea of someone being androgynous is somewhat radical to a lot of people, Mahdi will be pretty patient (if bewildered at why it's complicated) if it comes up and not easy to jump to offense, especially since ze has not gone out of hir way to explain the situation outright (yet). I'm not trying to turn this into a big thing either - I'm not saying this to demand that every character from every walk of life suddenly have an epiphany and be totally understanding or even 'get' Mahdi's deal at all. I understand that many characters and indeed many people in general might not find the idea of someone being not entirely male nor female easy to accept for various reasons.

In the end, I need to write Mahdi in the way that feels most natural, and I'd been struggling to call Mahdi 'he' for awhile. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this, and thank you to everyone who's received tags with these new pronouns and responded in kind. I love this game and everyone in it. <3
