Peter Parker has decoded the rest of the message first mentioned here (and ICly mentioned here). This was done in the timeframe during the mission, and it can be assumed the post was sent directly to the tablets of anyone there. The message that’s been scrambling the AI is just a set of coordinates and a simple message: kill me. Now, this doesn’t need to be logged out to count ICly, but to everyone whose characters would pursue the coordinates, we’d like to know their course of action!

Following the coordinates will indeed lead into the UE council’s base of operations, and specifically into an underground room within the complex. There they will discover a vast bank of computers, all networked together and running the same program: the UE’s newly "elected" Presidential AI. This is the same AI that Soldier Blue’s mission was sent to implant the Transport AI into, and the two competing programs are now warping and corrupting each other. The Transport AI is keeping the Presidential AI from launching any lethal attacks on the Transports in the future, though just barely, but it’s also fragmenting the Transport AI’s programing.

Investigating the programming (you did bring a computer-savvy character with you, right?) will uncover that destroying this version of the Transport AI will destroy the AI in the present of Exsilium, as well. They’re inextricably linked, thanks to the time travel involved in implanting it.

So, will you put the Transport AI out of its misery, and destroy the UE Presidential AI at the same time? Will you leave it? Will you try something else? Feel free to answer within this post, and ask away if you have any questions!

Okay, a few questions first! Timeline-wise, Peter Parker ICly announced that the AI wants to die, and nothing more. Is this happening while everyone's still in Vandrova, or afterwards? I was underneath the impression that the home of the two AIs would be in the capital and that's where they'd have to either leave it be or pull the plug.

If this is happening while they're on a mission, does that mean that they wouldn't be in the position to hear Peter's announcement in the first place, seeing as I'm assuming that they can't really go on the network while on mission?

The intention was that Transports would learn the second half of the message while on mission — be it that someone checked the network and passed word along, or the message was urgent enough to ping their tablets aggressively until checked, or whatever works best. But if you'd rather, it can be assumed that they saw it before heading out. The important part is that they're able to to the AI while they're in Vandrova, knowing its message to them.

All right! QUESTIONS PHASE TWO... Whether it's using Angel's or Jaime's abilities wrt communicating with tech, would it be feasible for them to get down to the specifics of what's happening? IE, the Transport AI is the only thing getting in the way of the Presidential AI unleashing another attack, and destroying one destroys them both? While the Transport AI is only able to process so much data ATM both Angel and Jaime would probably be able to support the AI so that it opens up some avenue of communication (if... that's the way it could even work! Hello pseudoscience, how are you today?)

Yes, they can discover the specifics! Basically, everything that's mentioned in this OOC post is fair game to be learned about, after some poking around in the system. However it won't be the Transport AI telling them this, since it's too overwhelmed to do much communicating even with assistance (they'll just get the same "kill me" message), this would instead be learned by studying the system/network itself.
