Welcome to Exsilium's Monthly CR Meme! This will be for the month of January, and participation is completely optional. Leave a comment below with the following format and you can get in touch with other players for all sorts of plans for the future, for CR and plots for your characters.

Character: Xerxes Break ★ Pandora Hearts ★

Character Info: Blind clown ventriloquist who is silly all the time except when he's dead serious. Soul-bonded to a magic hat. At present, he lives with various characters in a castle/hotel/creepy art museum from the 27th century. On the plus side, it's powered by geothermal heat, which keeps things nice and toasty. On the minus: evil penguin infestation.

He also can't understand why people are at all willing or interested in going on past-changing missions, without knowing the state of the world in Ice Age Ex. For all they know, the UE has lost its ability to travel to and attack other worlds, in which case the war is over, and they can concentrate on going home.

Also he has serious personal issues with the idea of changing the past to save people, as it's likely to make things worse. His experience at Exsilium hasn't changed that opinion.

Upcoming Plans: He is going to be working with Rufus Barma and others to determine the nature of the Ice Age United Earth, and try to figure out what precisely happened to make things the way they are now. See also my posts here and here.
CR/Plotting Desired: Anyone interested in the above. Also, the creepy castle is open to anyone who wants to stay there, Break and others will be in the Transport Log with information and directions about it, so it's a good place for newbies (especially kids) who are trying to get settled. I don't know if you're interested in any sort of butting heads over assuming the UE does or doesn't have world attacking properties still left, but it'd be something Collette would want to help determine and argue fiercely for once she's back, being a longstanding hot button with her.

Break doesn't want to assume anything one way or another, he is a very meticulous person who looks for proof before proceeding. He is super-disturbed by the fact that they seem to have changed the past by accident, so continuing to meddle in the past half-cocked seems like a terrible idea to him.

The whole Richard Lawson thing is incredibly suspicious as well.

Being one of the few people who was front lines and participating in the Richard Lawson thing from the start, she can also discuss some of that from before with him, if he were so inclined.

Yeah, she thinks it all is, along with how people moved right past wondering what the hell was going on once the world looked radiation safe again. With her having been gone, she'll be wondering what's been cooking over December and the start of January. She also doesn't believe in doing things pell-mell; but she lived through those consequences before, and also doesn't want to stall out and do nothing out of fear of what action might also accomplish.

Barma had the idea of going to a genetics lab in the past, to determine if the UE is up to its old tricks. Perhaps they can determine that the penguins are 90% penguin DNA crossed with 10% piranha; and the Yetis are 95% human, 5% mammoth OR SOMETHING.

Hahaha how far in the past is he thinking, and how does he expect to do the infiltration? To what site?

Collette is good at the scoping things out part of that, being it's kind of the point of her specialty as a morpher. If he'd like help in regards to those sorts of things...

Though she'll suggest working with Blue first to figure out AI origins and maybe get part of their AI into the UE AI so that it can feed them information going forward through the future. Backdoor information gathering!

Oh my god, I wish I had more things to say. Kougyoku's just too easy a target. Aaaaand she might have lurked around (but not inside!?) that castle because Oz lives there.

Hahaha yes very terrible. She should feel free to stop by the castle and get fed tea and sweets by Kevin and Gilbert. And attacked by penguins, oops.

Ah that will definitely happen in the near future, then! Sweets and suffering, this is all she needs.

And depending on what he finds out about her abilities (and your interest, of course) he might rope her along into some of his WTF is going on with Snosilium schemes.

I would like that too, actually! She isn't involved in a lot of things right now, but she's pretty easy to rope in to things. Just mention FRIENDS or...

Actually, someone told her the Initiative would send her back to any point in time she wanted after the war so she could fix her problems back home and she fell for it. Maybe Break could break it to her... (NO PUN INTENDED OKAY)

Haha WOW yes and the whole idea of GOING BACK IN TIME TO FIX PROBLEMS pings him hard.

going by what i saw of break's conversations on the initiative npc post, a lot of his views re: the whole kidnapping + time travel + jamjar nonsense tend to line up with karkat's.

unfortunately karkat is also one of the most obnoxious people you'll ever meet so i cannot gauge whether or not they'll get along but it could be interesting to have them talk anyway! (icly he prefers negative cr right now anyway, if that's the direction it goes)

I think that could be cool, too. And Break can get along with people if he has to, particularly if they have the same goals.

karkat can usually get along with people, but recently bc of all the aforementioned initiative stuff he's been more sullen and bad tempered. that break seems to resent them, too, though would probably prompt him to be a bit less unbearable.

so gin has kind of reached the point where he can't sit back anymore since "can the united earth still attack our worlds" is something he's definitely worried about, but for fear of losing his public persona of "that annoying guy who doesnt seem to give a shit about anything" he's going to be doing it under an alias for a while(hence the icon)

so question is

would break accept help from some secretive masked individual whose name is a number or would that just appear too suspicious

excellent, that's his favorite kind of relationship.

since he already spoke with break about this before i might just have him drop a message in break's ic contact post specifically showing interest in investigating the current UE's capabilities and it'll go from there
