Scouting Group for Winter Wonderland
The results are in, and after a trip over to Random.Org the following 25 names have come out on top. Congratulations!
All those on the scouting mission will need to scavenge supplies beforehand from the Moon Base. They will be told about the temperatures, and as of tonight, the AI has successfully hacked some of the satellites in orbit around Earth to get good imagery of what the ground looks like. Based on heat signatures and taken images, the AI suspects they're dealing with snow, and smaller numbers of people living in scattered groups, centralized around one large, city-like group it plans to land the scouts.
Mission objectives are simple. Locate the Initiative and begin a dialog. It's suggested everyone make use of the holographic technology still maintained on the Moon Base in order to blend in with the locals. Be warned, the holographs don't hold up under actual touch, and they don't change what your footprints look like outside of immediate physical range.
Any and all non-humans will be met with fear, up to and including violence.
Be careful, and be on the lookout. This iteration of the Initiative works on the extreme keep their heads down side. Talk to everyone, and be as subtle as you can be. That's the best way to flush them out of hiding.
Plotting and questions invited below (questions to the questions thread only, please, to not be missed!). The game at large will go down to Earth the first week of December.

With scouting and tracking, if we wanted to try this, would he be able to help them track a smuggling thing?

Of course if he gets caught he's not very likely to fast-talk his way out of the situation and may resort to violence or just fleeing (thus leaving smugglers with stories of a United Earth cyborg running around). In which case he'd make the situation WAY HARDER.
((As a side note, once everyone is planet-side, Dante is someone who could be tapped for an operation like that, if he can be convinced to care. He spent most of his teenage years and young adult life associating with seedy underworld types so he knows the culture a bit and is a much more gifted fast-talker than Raiden is. Not the best, but definitely an improvement over this guy))

and really hope that we manage to get ourselves some proper fasttalkers because why do we have so many people here who didn't put much into their diplomacy stats?
((I think it'd be a lot of fun if we could do something with getting the semi-criminal types to integrate themselves with the underworld for information purposes. Can we talk Dante into it with.... FRIENDSHIP???

(I took Dante from the first game so he can be swayed by the power of FOOD. Or MONEY....or doing it on his own eventually because it's the right thing to do but sighing about it)
