WAIT ok I don't know if I should ask here or there but I am just having trouble... parsing this bit...

If your character is pulled back into the game from a parallel Initiates universe where they had originally been brought into game from the desired, new canon point, they will be coming in with their existing in-game memories. More IC details below!

So does that mean from an OOC standpoint, a character goes back to their canon, obviously doesn't remember this game, goes about their canonly stuff, then when they come back, they have their memories, EXCEPT they think they've always come from the new canon point? So it would be all, "Gee Feferi last you told me, you came back from the middle of playing Sgrub!" "Uh no I didn't, I was dead when I got here!" (if that was her canon point... use your imagination!)

ALSO what about canon updates for characters with other game CR?

ALSO ALSO canon swaps are only between established canon AUs yeah? And how would they apply to OCs? (Shut up I can have AUs for my OCs if I want. >C)

Mostly just curious, I have no plans to get into any of these what so ever but maybe someone else will want to know someday :|a eta, wow that was really long I'm sorry???

BASICALLY it's like there's two versions of Exsilium (there's lots by we're going with two right now) and in one version (the one we are playing in), your character is from their current canon point. THEN there just so happens to be an identical parallel universe where your character is in Exsilium, with the same memories as they have in our Exsilium, but they were "brought in" from a different canon point

So in canon updating your character and choosing to keep their memories, the one in the game we are playing in now, gets thrown back into their canon universe and the one from the parallel universe (just them, with a diff canon point, but the same memories) gets pulled in to "replace" the older canon point version!

it's a work in progress though and the more I work with it the more convoluted it becomes so I might change it and make it simpler here soon depending on feedback :|a;

Their other game CR would remain because it would be as though they had been paper with it into that parallel universe that they're pulled from!

And yes, canon AUs only! So kind of the same idea as which AUs are available to be applied for normally. So if you could app that character normally, and it is a different version of your character (like some people play a strictly manga version of some characters, they could trade them for the anime version for example).
