Welcome to Exsilium's Monthly CR Meme! This will be for the month of January, and participation is completely optional. Leave a comment below with the following format and you can get in touch with other players for all sorts of plans for the future, for CR and plots for your characters.

I would certainly be willing! Collette's not a fantastic planner herself, but she -- would really want to try and do what she can to see about making that connection less important. The degree she recalls of Chris's shutting down and "forgetting" information when coming into contact with Huey was scary -- and scary that doing so seemed necessary at the time.

Is there anything you'd be interested in seeing be done (failing or succeeding or middling, that's not as important to me!)? I have a lot of flexibility in figuring out what would occur to Collette or what wouldn't, so if there's something you'd like to explore I'm more than happy to work out the means of doing so!

Hmm, I'm not sure! Collette's goal is also my goal and I've been struggling a lot trying to figure out how to weaken the connection. I guess what I've been hoping to do is just try anything that might make other things more important, even if only temporarily, than the link to Huey, hoping that doing that will help him develop what he needs to to break the psychological hold. But it's like "great idea how do you do that" and I'm just ".....make him friends and then ????"

Haha, well, what are the strongest parts of how Huey controls him/the reasons why he capitulates right now? Maybe starting to wear at those?

um it's like... everything? Almost everything about Chris was designed by Huey. So Huey knows every button to push to control Christopher. And, for lack of privacy, Christopher can't develop any defences against that; Huey knows his test subject well enough to immediately identify any new psychological elements, poke at them, and tear them down if he doesn't want Christopher to keep them. Last time Christopher tried, Huey got Christopher to abandon those new thoughts in just a handful of conversations.
