Welcome to Exsilium's Monthly CR Meme! This will be for the month of January, and participation is completely optional. Leave a comment below with the following format and you can get in touch with other players for all sorts of plans for the future, for CR and plots for your characters.

Raiden

Character: Raiden ★ Metal Gear ★ highfrequency
Character Info: Five pounds of impulsive, violence-loving neural tissue grafted to a spinny death machine. He works as security for the (Old) Initiative and stood against the mutiny in November.
Upcoming Plans: Working with Sunny on the AI plot, helping rebuild shelters, starting a training program.
CR/Plotting Desired: Friends who can repair him and deal with his nonsense, enemies that torment him, anything really! I'd really like to explore his more violent nature at some point.
Also, getting back into OLD CR. I know some people have wanted to do things in the past couple of months but I got really busy with the holidays from roughly Thanksgiving forward and what time I had was mostly used for in game world events. So if I have offered plotting with you before, I am still interested!
Additional Notes:

-Has a Papa Wolf instinct towards children. Let me know if you're interested in him trying to keep your character safe from combat if you play a young or young-looking character.
-Is still suppressing his killing instinct (Jack the Ripper) but this side of him may emerge if he fights someone he really wants to see dead. The Ripper is basically to Raiden what Battosai is to Kenshin.
-Loves movies and anything having to do with samurais and ninjas. Ask him about King Kong. Do it.
-Horrible night terrors still shake him up when he attempts to sleep, so he's an insomniac. You are likely to see him wandering at strange hours.
-Practices katsujin-ken, the art of the Life-Giving Sword. He is hugely devoted to this, which means he will probably try to protect your character whether they (ICly) want or need it or not.
-Professional military trainer. Teaching soldiers how to fight and keep peace was part of his job back home so he'd be willing to train your character if they wanted him to.
-Sometimes vomits unsolicited advice or military trivia all over people.
-Not a bad person but deeply troubled. His world is one of moral grays and his violent, tragic history (it's a Metal Gear thing) has left him with a pretty bleak view on life.

i'm tempted to have dlanor meet him because she looks pretty young but she's actually renown as a p scary fighter

bonus points if she acts as a p polite and nice girl up until some sort of trouble goes down

Being a scary fighter would probably make Raiden MORE eager to protect her. He doesn't like seeing kids fight.

And Babs and Raiden should definitely talk more! He's Nate's roommate so she may have a peripheral awareness of him from that (in addition to Raiden's network presence)

Dante

Character: Dante ★ Devil May Cry ★ ringthenoise
Character Info: Weird young half-demon who acts like he's more shallow and brain dead than he actually is. Hunter of his own kind.
Upcoming Plans: He's going to start running his business eventually
CR/Plotting Desired: He's new so anything! But I would particularly be interested in friends, enemies and people who can motivate him to wake up in the morning and actually care about things.
Additional Notes:

-Lives in the forest
-is taken from the second-to-last episode in the animated series, so this is Dante as he was during the first game. He's not an angry, over-the-top warrior anymore and not yet a laid back cowboy.
-Can smell supernatural creatures! (has permissions for that)
-Cagey about his demonic heritage
-Has no way of hiding the fact that he's a half-demon so if your character has a way of sensing that then he will ping them
-says he works as a detective, that being the public front to his business
-can be found hunting along the Thames
-Tends to get along with women better than other men

SO kili is actually supposed to be dante's like...mentor or w/e so we should do something

he's gonna be a bit busy this month with his family and things like that but

He is! Dante does not know this, though.

But I am totally up for them meeting and starting the veteran/newbie thing. That will mean Kili toting around and trying to watch over a mercurial, 6'4" half-demon who would rather be napping. Enjoy, Kili!

Whatever you feel is IC for Kili is fine with me! Dante is the sort of person who would just fuck off when bored so he's.... hard to get along with in these situations, for sure.

ok, straight up, this guy is terribly and negatively pinged by all of dante's laziness even if he knows there's more to it than just poor sleeping schedule

SO... I DON'T KNOW IF HE'LL END UP AS AN ALARM CLOCK OR NEGATIVE CR, but i would like to follow up and watch where this train wreck takes us

Absolutely! Dante's laziness gets him hit with mops (by ten year olds) in canon among other things so he is used to people not approving of his cat-like napping schedule.

He just complains. A lot.

Expect much complaining if he is woken up or scolded.
