Welcome to Exsilium's Monthly CR Meme! This will be for the month of November, and participation is completely optional. Leave a comment below with the following format and you can get in touch with other players for all sorts of plans for the future, for CR and plots for your characters.

lucifer will be doing particularly pro-mutiny things but trying to keep a low profile during the whole thing and never getting directly involved

but if he ran into jesse and had his powers nulled he could retaliate once the mutiny is over(mostly out of indignation; not even god was able to do something like that to him so he'd probably be super pissed), only he'd probably do it in a way he wouldn't be able to be accused for it

something like mind controlling someone else to do it. i was gonna say jesse himself but as far as i can tell his powers could nullify that, so it wouldn't be reliable? either way if you end up needing someone to off jesse it's an option

Hmmmmm well if he isn't directly involved then it might be kind of hard to work in because Jesse isn't going to randomly steal powers from people who might be on his side. Like, unless Lucifer gets in his way or does something in front of him, Jesse wouldn't know to go after him.

And yeah, mind control doesn't work on Jesse at all. But Lucifer could probably straight-up talk him into killing himself, considering he's already suicidal. The outcome of that is sort of hard to predict for sure, though. Jesse is a little more aware of people trying to manipulate him these days.

oh no, that's cool, he'd definitely confront jesse in the mutiny log for this to happen!

but he could try that out, for sure. is there anything in particular he could do to convince him? i was gonna suggest him tormenting jesse with voices in his head or something to do it but looking at your permissions post since telepathy is ruled out by his powers too thats out of the question i guess

i guess the main problem is since he can't intel gather with mind reading or something he wouldnt know what would work to drive jesse to despair

and the only reason im avoiding the idea of straight up murder or something is it wouldn't be ic for lucifer since he's not reckless, and being identifiable at the scene of the crime would be far too reckless a thing for him to consider

WOW it's just so hard to predict. Jesse's literally psychotic, so he swings back and forth between being mostly okay/slightly depressed and being suicidal and/or homicidal if he's triggered. How he's feeling on any given day depends entirely on what's going on in his life at that moment. The good(?!) news being that he doesn't need voices put in his head, because he already suffers from paranoid delusions.

If Lucifer's spending some time preparing for his revenge, then investigating Jesse is pretty easy. He's had a large presence on the network in the past (I have all of his threads collected here) and most of his communication is public. To save you having to comb through that, off the top of my head: he's admitted to killing at least one person (implied self defense), to being a drug addict and dealer, and to having a child that something bad happened to. He's got a pretty obvious guilt complex, though he never quite admits what he feels guilty for. He's mentioned that he thinks he's going to Hell and at first he thought this place was it. And if Lucifer gets close to a few key members of Jesse's inner circle, there's even more he can learn.

...And as I'm writing this, it occurs to me: the really easy way for Lucifer to kill Jesse would be to either forcibly inject him with heroin or tempt him with it (the former being way easier than the latter, currently). He's been totally clean for almost two months, which makes him due for a relapse and no one would really think much of it, and it also means his tolerance is low and it wouldn't take much to kill him. It's kind of tidy in that Jesse wouldn't be clear-headed enough to remember what even happened, when he comes back, and would assume that, yeah, he must have relapsed. Or, if he did figure out someone shot him up, he'd blame a more obvious suspect - like Walter White.

Anyway YES hit me up on the mutiny log and Jesse can piss off Lucifer. We'll see what happens!

perfect! i might give his threads a read anyway and see what is and isn't available but this should be plenty to work with. operation kill jesse is a-go-go!!
