UPCOMING PLOT: homeward bound (now with fewer talking animals)
Two announcements! One, the Housing Page has been updated with all of the reassignments. As of now, it’s officially safe to move into the renovated building and meet your new (or old!) roommates!
Note: the ghosts, previously haunting the mostly-closed-off 13th floor, have moved down to the 7th floor. 7th floor denizens can expect odd bumps in the night, lights sometimes flickering, and the occasional blood curdling scream at 3AM. Sorry about that, 7th floor.
If you see anyone placed incorrectly, misspelled, or listed as having a room when they’ve moved out, just let us know on that page. Thank you!
Secondly, a plot!
So, you know how "being sent home" has been at the top of the list of Transport wishes for, like, ever? Well, boy, are you ever in luck! Part of the negotiations with the Initiative for handing over the recently gained space ship, was that the Initiative be more transparent. Well, they're holding up their end of it.
The Transporter is still incredibly unstable technology, as evidenced by the fact that they have no control over who it pulls, from where, or how long they stay in Exsilium. They definitely can't use it to do an intentional roundtrip. However, the Initiative has been developing very experimental alternative technology lately. They still aren't sure it will work, but the aim of it is to open temporary portals to return unwilling/unable fighters back to their own worlds.
So that's where you come in! The Initiative, while emphasizing the experimental nature and risk involved, will be looking for a volunteer. That means we're looking for a volunteer to return their character temporarily to their world. We can only take one character for the time being (OOCly drawn at random from anyone who volunteers), and this character will be out of contact with everyone in Exsilium for at least one week. Note: only one character per player will be considered.
If this is something you think you'd be interested in, comment to this entry! We'll give you more details from there, and you can decide if you'd like your character to be entered into the random drawing that will decide who gets to go home. Bear in mind: it might not be a pleasant trip.
This will be ICly announced on the 12th (here!), and open to character reaction and discussion, as well as IC volunteering. (If you sign up here, that will be considered enough for your character to have ICly volunteered, and commenting there won't be mandatory. Commenting here if you’re signing up, however, is mandatory.) The sign ups are open until11:59 PM EST on the 12th 3:00 AM EST on the 13th, and we will have our volunteer chosen and notified on the 13th.
And finally, in the interests of unveiling pieces of this plot as it goes along, all comments here will be screened.

But they're welcome to try, and kick them out of a room for a couple days! It just won't last.

Re: (unscreened) QUESTIONS/COMMENTS
2) How much of a free pass do we get to damaging the building while trying to shoot/knife ghosts?
Re: (unscreened) QUESTIONS/COMMENTS
2) As much as you want! Just no bulldozing, please.
