Are you ready?
This is TF with yet another character as I have no willpower. This is Doctor Facilier, from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. Like most Disney villains, he’s a sadistic, conniving sociopath who takes great delight in ruining people’s lives. He also happens to be really, really good at hiding this fact. He’s got appearing to be the nicest, most helpful guy around down to a fine art, all while searching for a way to benefit himself or screw someone else over. He also has one of the best villain songs ever.
He’s a bokor, a voodoo witch doctor living in 1926 New Orleans. Via his tarot cards, he has the nifty ability can see the past, present, future and deepest desires of others. For a price, he uses spells, potions, illusions and sundry to ‘make people’s dreams come true’; all thanks to the power of the Loa, his “friends on the other side”. Usually it ends badly for his client, like getting turned into a frog, for example.
As his primary power is basially infomodding, I have a big ol’ permissions post for you to opt the heck out or in of that. Also this is the place to go if you actually want him to read your character’s cards, make a deal with them, or, god forbid, you want him to con your character out of their soul so he can start paying off his own debt to a bunch of supernatural loansharks. It can all be found on that page! Obviously I will always check with a player before he pulls any shenanigans on a character.
His canon point is right after his pretty terrifying exit (he doesn’t fall like you think) so Exsilium is actually a pleasant detour for him. Oh, and his shadow is a sentient being that moves independently from him. Like Peter Pan. Only middle aged and evil. Have fun with that.
