ANOTHER PLAYER PLOT
NOT ACTUALLY THE FOOD STORAGE BOSS, BUT CLOSE
Hello Transports,
So, as per AI's post, there is something amiss in the old medical bay in the east wing that should probably be taken care of! What that thing is is a bit of a mystery, but one that can be solved. Anyone can tag into this post to explore the area, regardless of whether this thing shows up or not in their thread.
What you can do
What's this about modded zombies?
So, this Boss thing?
Ultimately, the resolution of this fight will depend entirely on who will be there, and their choices. In the meantime, if you are willing to have your character drive-by attacked or infected by the special-probably-a-zombie, please specify to what to degree, and if you have any preferences for where, because, sure why not. As a warning, it is incredibly fast, but not invulnerable. If it feels like it cannot win a fight or infect someone right then and there, though, it's going to bounce.
If you have any questions about anything at all, please ask away in the the thread below!
EDIT: Sign ups are closed, and the results of the draw are posted! I just want to apologise for the delays. I've been pretty hideously sick these few days, and I'm still recovering, but I'm still 100% for those of you who still wants to do this.
EDIT 2: It was brought to my attention that I forgot to note Stage 2 participants, so there they now are! To anyone else who might have been confused about that, I apologise!
What you can do
• There is going to be a slightly different breed of zombie here to deal with -- more on that in a moment!
• There has been some freaky remodeling in the medical wing. It's a cleanup job, but it won't necessarily be a cakewalk.
• Taking down the Final Boss*
*The number of people who can get dibs on this part will be limited, just to keep things neat, and let me give the participants proper attention. How many people ultimately depends on how much interest there is, but it's looking like 4-6 randomly selected characters.
What's this about modded zombies?
No big, they just have stabby tentacles now, and spit a special, infectious goop. It dissolves inorganic matter on contact, but will simply absorb into skin. The point is to try and eat away at your defenses so that infection can get up close and personal with you. Very personal.
So, this Boss thing?
Like any decent final boss, this will be done in stages. There is a Heart of sorts to get to and destroy, but it won't be unguarded. In Stage 1, there are six sentry creatures that need to be taken down, but Stage 2 is the battle with the thing that's been causing a fuss, and it will become available after one or two are sentries killed. This way, Stage 2 can happen with one, or two people in a group thread, while the other Transports still have something to do with the sentry creatures.
Everyone involved in the Boss Fight will have a chance to take down a sentry, but of those, only one or two will get to take down the thing. They will be be indicated on the list, and, again, the selection will be random.Boss List
1. Liam, for Stage 2
2. Joel
3. Walter, for Stage 2
4. Gamora
5. Mai
6. Helena
Sign ups will be open until November 8th, 11:59 EST, and I'll be choosing with a RNG and announcing results on November 9th, with the thread for the final confrontation going up shortly after.

ATTACK SIGN-UPS
Raiden
I'd like for Raiden to run into those. Since his arrival his inorganic body has been an asset to him, it would be interesting to explore it just messing him up.
In terms of degree of injury-I don't want him killed or permanently put down but that still leaves some room for flexibility. If too much of his body is damaged to maintain life support his brain can be removed and put aside by a skilled doctor while a cyberneticist fixes his frame. It can't survive indefinitely but it is laced with nanomachines that will let it survive a little while under the proper conditions. If the data chip in his left arm is saved people will be able to see his schematics, too, and work from that.
That's the maximum amount of damage I'm up for! Forced removal of his brain. This all requires someone with a strong understanding of cybernetics to piece him together, though (or someone with magic that can mend objects, typical healing will not work).
He won't get infected, because there is not enough of him that is organic to get infected. The only human parts of him are his upper skull and spine.

That's cool!
Sorry not sorry, RaidenSounds like it'll be fun to stalk. But all of this is doable, and that's pretty interesting. Has his brain been removed more than once before?no subject
The black chassis he has in game is the second body he's had as a cyborg so the last time his brain was removed it was to give people the time to set his head and spine into the new frame.

The Make It Right videos were actually about this, if anyone is curious what Raiden was experiencing with that-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auklsK689fI
Although I should warn they contain (badly acted) live action versions of his memories going back to his childhood. So they're nasty.
Interestingly enough, going through that is what re-triggered some of Raiden's repressed psychosis which is why he got more unstable after his canon update.
edit: Oh, right, question- How do the attacks work, exactly? Will they be part of a log, or handwaved, or what's the mechanics here? So sorry if this has been addressed already, there's a lot happening!(I know there is a log for this event up but it seems empty. I could plop Raiden in there if that's still going?)
