The name's Naki, and this is my first goddamn time joining a comm. I'm in way over my head, so bear with me - or kick my ass into shape. Either one really.

I'm bringing Kazuhira "Kaz" Miller from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker with me, who's an odd mix of business-minded entrepreneur and double-timing womanizer.

Oversimplifications aside, for those who don't know his canon, he's a Japanese-American who came to be Subcommander of the main character, Big Boss', private army, though more by a twist of fate than by choice. He's pretty easygoing, loves to talk, and is quite well read, specifically pertaining to Biology but also keeping up to speed with intel related to his current situation. And don't be surprised if he hits on you - he's got a weakness for vanity, and for attractive people. CHASE THE BOOTY.

For everyone who knows the character, I've been roleplaying him for going on 10 months now, both on Tumblr and in private. Though I absolutely ADORE the Japanese VAs for Big Boss and Kaz, it's a bit easier to imagine him speaking as Robert Atkin Downes, the English VA... mostly for syntax and expression. There'll be a few icons from MGSV (because DAMN, dat FOX engine mmm), but fear not! His pull point is Peace Walker, through and through.

BB and I were talking about that one, whether or not Raiden would already know who Kaz is. Should be fun either way, since I've seen you and BB have already hit it off quite splendidly, lmao.

Honestly, it's up to you and Sev how much you're comfortable with Raiden knowing, since the games never quite tell us.

He knows at least the basics, though, and some aspects of BB's legacy, both from having GW in his brain and from working under EVA in Paradise Lost.

im cool with him knowing whatever! according to mgs4 at least the whole mgs3 mission has become public knowledge and well, mg1 and 2. not sure about phantom pain yet so we might have to pass that over for now, but eva says that bb had his own mercenary company and drifted round the world!

aaaaaaand i think it could be feasible that raiden has heard of kaz given he was a foxhound instructor but thats up to naki!

It's always irked me how all mention of Miller is dropped following MGS1. Solid Snake just does not give any fucks.

But considering the "public knowledge", plus Raiden's interaction with Solid over the series... I'd say it's not impossible that Raiden has basics. We kind of have to handwave the MGSV gap for now too.

Kaz's canon is so messy, i stfg, and especially with the upcoming introduction of MGSV. SIGHS LOUDLY.
