Sure. It's a long story so buckle up.

Back in June a horrible plague went around the city, yay bioterrorism. This was the month Stanley got into the game. Someone had also crashed a spaceship into the building at that point so quarters were cramped, etc. which is how he came to live with Jesse, actually. Because he arrived soaking wet and pathetic and without a home and yeah, that's just an aside.

People were sick and dying left and right, so he was creaking out a bit. And then, about two or three weeks in, the UE started dropping bombs. Stan basically huddled in a corner and made scared puppy sounds like a real man, oops. He just wasn't coping. So, Giovanni (the assassin yes) found him because he asked for help getting someone out of a collapsing hospital building.

That someone was Peace, and Stanley is good at following orders even under duress, so he stopped hyperventilating to himself long enough to help get the girl underground, and then they huddled in Giovanni's coat together and cried because....Stan is not a superhero and Peace is a toddler a d they were both not okay with that shit.

They were down in the catacombs for probably a week together, so there was plenty of bonding time. She was sick, so it gave Stanley something to deal with and kept him from losing it completely. Afterwards, the bombings stopped and she was returned to her grateful family. Both Stanley and Giovanni continued to visit her over the following 5 months.

So when the news of this bombing happened, and Giovanni found Stanley hanging around warning people instead of getting on a shuttle, he took the kids with him on the man and they started helping families of Exsiles cross the channel in hopes of saving them. (It didn't work, yay guilt.)

But Peace knew Stanley and her parents trusted him to keep her safe. You know, like when people give soldiers their babies to try and save them? So, that happened. Giovanni's player is on hiatus right now, so Peace has been chilling with Stanley all this time. He's not exactly the best choice for babysitter, but he's trying!
