WELL
depending on if you were okay with it, Ruka could recognize Shinji in face-to-face, because she did know (and was off-and-on-and-awkward/casual) friends with a (manga) Shinji in her previous game; whether that would be a factor, however, is up to you! Because I can easily play it either way, and I have very much enjoyed their cr.

To be honest I'm not very familiar with the disparity! I've never read the manga and it's been a decade or so since I watched the anime. Regardless, I am totally stoked.
