Anyway, hi everyone it's Nita aka that person who plays this jerk Kate (gevurah) with another DC comics redhead. Only this one lives and breathes underwater. This is Mera, Queen of Atlantis, who has not been back there in some time because life got complicated. Aquaman is also her husband! Maybe! Either way they are together again and Geoff Johns doesn't care about details!!

She's got water powers and had some rage issues she got under control for the most part. She can be pretty nice, but hurt a kid and she'll drown you or something.

Her pull point is pre-Flashpoint (aka reboot) and she's in unit 608 although she'll be looking for open water. She's an entirely new character for me so if I'm doing it wrong hit me up on her HMD. I'll intro her sometime after I've finished setting up her account!

dick and the other titans came to atlantis when they were older and when garth married dolphin! garth was tempest by then. i don't remember if he and mera spoke directly, but they probably greeted each other politely and that's about it. NOT THAT bb dick will have this memory.

as bb dick he's probably heard a bit about atlantis from garth and queen mera and king arthur! maybe garth in his earlier days whined a little about having less time with arthur than he did before he married and settled down (as much as a superhero could...)

I know next to nothing about the aquafamily but Mera seems PRETTY RAD.

Unsure how much Steph should know about her though, do you have any preferences for what might in the Batfiles?

Also please convince Max to shapeshift into a mermaid so she can go swimming with Mera.

I knew very little till I read all six volumes of Aquaman and now I'm full of Aquafamily feelings. They're great. :[ And dramatic but hey what's family without a little of that.

Anyway, Mera is the queen! Atlantis is very much not a myth in the DCU, although your average person may dispute that and they have common misconceptions like assuming Atlanteans are all mermaids or turn into one when they enter water. Atlantis actually was part of the UN once upon a time till Arthur (who was ambassador and had diplomatic unity) took advantage of those privileges. FOR THE GREATER GOOD but yeah, it didn't fly with people.

Dick's teammate Garth, Aqualad then Tempest, was from Atlantis. He's been dead since Blackest Night. Arthur was dead, too, but came back.

Oh man, I REALLY never have a good idea of how much information Bruce keeps but Mera was deputized a Red Lantern during BN. He was lost in time though so there must not have a lot of information on that particular event.

:|a Yeah I think Steph would probably know the basics about the public Aquapeeps, like Garth and Aquaman but I doubt there'd be a huuuuuge amount on Mera. AND NO OFFENCE but Steph isn't likely to have really bothered much, since there are about a million superheroes to remember and she focuses on people she's going to deal with. So I imagine Steph probably recognizes her but thatttt's about the extent of it.

was there a big ass funeral for the dead son because she might have known about that then, at least :C
