Character: Thorin Oakenshield ★ The Hobbit ★ heirwithouthope
Character Info: A dwarfish prince that became a blacksmith in order to support his people after they lost their homeland to a fire-breathing dragon. Rough as sandpaper on the outside--majorly flawed on the inside. Though he cares deeply for the struggles of his race and adheres to a strict code of honor. Owns a petrified piece of wood.
Upcoming Plans: The recent war officially fucked Thorin up. He would've died on the battlefield if Nikolai hadn't stepped in and saved his life--but unlike a certain hobbit that did the same thing a long time ago, Nikolai didn't get a hug for his efforts because he also committed the unspeakable crime of shaving Thorin's beard off during the body-swap event, and Thorin had been settled on hating him for the rest of his life. And his arm is broken, which means his smithing and other crafting projects are on full hiatus until conditions improve.

So what we have here is basically a dwarf going through a moral crisis, re-examining his prejudices and lacking the ability to use both his hands, and disrupting what had been a very active existence, thus far. Fun for all ages.
CR/Plotting Desired: Positive/negative/trolling CR. Blacksmith/craftsman/jewelry-making type jobs when he gets his shit back in order. Sparring partners. Anti-Initiative peeps. Pissy-Thorin-in-a-cast shenanigans. He's also going to be turning his attention onto learning more about modern technology and weapons, as he realizes this is crucial in order to survive in this place, so someone that would be able to help him with those things.

I am just super, super, super, SUPER interested about how the action thread in Nikolai's post is going to go because I have an inkling that Nikolai just died in front of Thorin to save him (INCONSIDERATE BASTARD RITE???) and then they don't meet each other until that thread.

THIS NIKOLAI AND THORIN THREAD I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE IT.

And neither can Thorin. I love it so, so much because it's such an unexpected but major turning point for Thorin in the game regarding his feelings about his place in the war and his prejudices against non-dwarves. He's probably going to try to avoid Nikolai for a while after this, but he's not going to be able to forget the fact that Nikolai saved him. He owes him a life debt. That might even get him to forget that you shaved his beard a few months ago, you douche. 8(

Also Sango has some smithing experience, though it's mostly been with crafting weapons out of demon bone and she could stand to improve, so... maybe he could help her with that in the future?

I've been thinking about making a post with Thorin one of these days that has to do with the city and "wtf science." If you think that's something Sango would tag into. I also can't help but notice she's roomies with the dude that saved his life in the most recent scuffle. And I'd be more than open to any ideas you might have, as well! \o/

Also yes Nikolai is her roomie but she is only meeting him just now due to Reasons (aka he's a secretive butt who only enters and leaves in the dead of night lmfao).

man i dunno just them being buds would be cool?? Sango tends to collect a bunch of punk teenage (or teenage-appearing) boys for some... reason... and also a bunch of cute little-sister types??? so she definitely needs a beardy dwarf bud to balance it out!!
