Oh hai. I'm Bird. And as the subject line says, I've heard you all like original characters. Which is good, because I like original characters too. (Other interests include history, parenthetical statements, and footnotes.)

So I guess I should get to introducing the bloke, since it's not like you have any canon to refer to about him.

This is Will Metzger, and let's see what's pertinent about him. American¹ soldier from WWII (parachute infantry because I can and also jumping out of airplanes sounds fun), fairly religious by which I mean definitely conservative Christian (and no, his beliefs do not reflect my own, I just love socio-political issues), and the pragmatic, repressed type. He is also a dreadful fidget unless it would get him killed. For more detailed information I guess you can read his app here, if you want.

He's definitely not going to approve of the lack of a chain of command, will probably boggle at younger children being here, and I think the aliens and mages and such will just blow his mind.

On that note, I can be found on plurk (which is really your best bet aside from PMing this account) at preussisch_blau. I can also be messaged through my personal account, which is preussisch_blau, but I don't know why you'd go through all that trouble. Hallo! I've never heard of that Jdrama, but I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about Jdramas at all so. It sounds pretty awesome, though! And your character sounds really cool from what I see on his app. Feel free to have him try to manipulate Will. Not sure just yet how well it would work (he's not naïve, per se, but he can be swayed by the expectations of others...), but it would be fun.

Well, the only reason why I came across it was cuz I am semi-interested in Gackt (Takegami's actor) and heard he had some minor acting roles in various tv shows and movies. And ever since then, I've been watching a lot of Japanese and Korean dramas.

Oh yeah, is anything he can say hi to the nice Japanese guy :3

...Yep, that sounds like how I discover about half the things I watch movie or television wise. Admittedly, I don't know any Japanese or Korean actors, which probably explains why I've never hunted down any J or Kdramas. Still, that one sounds really cool! (But then, I like mystery type shows in general.)

......And oh duh, he's my OC but I didn't even think about the fact that currently they are at war with Japan when he's from. (Rule #2 about dealing with Bird: Bird is a derp and also sometimes slow on the uptake.) That could make things veeeerrrryyyy interesting. :3a

Gackt is actually a very popular solo artist, known for his wide range of musical styles, his part in the Show Your Heart foundation, and he is a model and actor on the side. He's the first male vocalist to have 41 singles chart, and just recently was part of the grand opening of a new Tommy Hilfiger store in Tokyo.....

And I am doing it again. Err, I really do spend a tiny bit of time reading up on what he does. And yes, I've found some pretty interesting mysteries. The latest one I have started watching is a Korean one called Vampire Prosecutor.

...Vampire Prosecutor? (I feel bad, because now I'm picturing Miles Edgeworth as a vampire and I am certain that is nowhere near accurate, but it's a funny mental image.)

Yeah it's got a great idea but the first episode is a bit slow. Then again it's a 'meet the characters' kind of episode, and I do enjoy the scruffy detective he is working with.

I do have a job I tend to rant about - or at least co-workers that I wish I can drop into a well.

It's sort of cute since the prosecutor is all in a neat suit and then you have this detective who is wearing last week's shirt and they're having a friendly conversation over a dead body.
