Another player plot of sorts, y'all!

The gist of it is that a certain blond jerk is shortly going to be setting up a research team (or several under one umbrella, depending), geared towards weapons development in order to tighten Exsilium's defenses but possibly with room for other projects later. Ostensibly, the idea is to take some of the load off the Initiative's own science team and encourage people who might not trust them completely - it's Initiative-sponsored and they've provided the equipment, but it isn't being overseen by them. This is mod-approved as an organisation that will stick around and be open to new folks both now and in the future, especially those who aren't really fighters to begin with!

Ed is most interested in collaring other scientists, engineers and mechanics, purely because those would naturally be the backbone of a research team and not for any more self-serving purposes, but he also needs people to test things, organise / get resources and information, help with whatever other administrative stuff crops up... so everyone, basically.

The intention is that he'll stay in charge of it for now - despite appearances, he has a fairly good idea of how this kind of show should be run - but there are plenty of reasons to be dubious of a loud-mouthed teenager who claims to know what he's doing, and characters willing to voice a few of them or otherwise clash with him are very very welcome :>

An IC announcement of this will go up... tomorrow or the day after, because screw assignment deadlines! It'll be backdated to the 1st, though, IS UP AND NOT BACKDATED BECAUSE I DO WHAT I WANT and signups can definitely be handwaved. The more people the better!

Well, Hisoka is used to paperwork back home so he might be able to help out with the admin stuff maybe? I kind of want to get Lacus involved in stuff away from the fighting aspect too though I am not entirely sure what she might end up helping with exactly. :la Though I can easily imagine him and Hisoka possibly butting heads at some point over some stupid thing eventually with their tempers.

Hrm. She probably could. She was an ex idol back home, very influencial and I imagine she would prob be pretty organized with paperwork and the like. So I guess that could work for both of them! I can reply with at least one if not both to Ed's ic post now I see that's up.

She'd probably be willing to lend a hand as long as it means actually doing something. XP

Thass would love to help! He's not really an engineer, but he does have a bit of experience with...I guess we could consider it a bioweapons? He's just....not exactly kind and fuzzy about the work he does. He can reanimate the dead and use them to fight, even if that means putting them together from parts.

He can also weaponize zombie plague and turn it into things like acid. I don't think he'd exactly unleash plague on people, because it could do more harm than good, in its pure form, but it could possibly be worked into some things!

He's a nice guy, his methods are just a little objectionable probably, haha. Dunno if Ed would have use for him!

That's fine! Thass's kind kind of toes the line anyway, and I think half the time people try their best to turn a blind eye to the fact that these "good guys" are raising zombies to do their dirty work, haha.

also he has an extremely long list of secret credentials that fall under menor, master, and all kinds of organizational stuff SUP GRAND MASTER ASSASSIN so he can give Ed advice if he's ever stuck with anything
