Welcome to Exsilium's Monthly CR Meme! This will be for the month of March, and participation is completely optional. Leave a comment below with the following format and you can get in touch with other players for all sorts of plans for the future, for CR and plots for your characters.

Thorin Oakenshield

Character: Natalie ★ The Hobbit ★ heirwithouthope
Character Info: Got his mind on his mountain and his mountain on his mind. He's a dwarf heir that lost his kingdom over a hundred years ago, and his one purpose in life is getting it back. Bound by honor and loyalty, a leader to his people when they needed it most, and well-mannered on his good days (in the sense that he won't kick your plates or eat an entire pantry). Thorin is also stubborn, suspicious, arrogant (with a side of self-doubt), and harbors a genetic inclination for gold sickness. And he's kind of racist--that's why his eyebrows are so big. They're full of intolerance.
Upcoming Plans: Thorin is going to be making his first network post either tomorrow or the day after. For the month of March, he's basically going to focus on making a decent livelihood in the city through blacksmith-type work while he continues to collect information and bide his time on the side. Eventually getting the inside dirt on dragons and their weaknesses. And a side of keeping an eye on Bilbo's kin.
CR/Plotting Desired: Thorin is still new, so there's not a lot that I wouldn't be open to, at this point. More interaction with cast mates, alliances, future customers, negative CR, people that can call him out on his shit, trolls (because he's a hair ball of vengeance that takes himself too seriously), culture shock/general stuff to get him out of his bubble.

Do you have anything planned for the upcoming event in March? Thorin and Nikolai are going to be switching bodies, so he's going to be tall and hairless (and Frodo has some CR with him, doesn't he?) If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them~

I don't have anything coming up for that event, actually! And yeah, Frodo has some CR with Nikolai, he doesn't quite like him from what he has seen, but I would love to have him meet with Thorin in him. <3 SHENANIGANS can be had.

That is to say, this little Valkyrie may need some assistance with armor repair that isn't wing-related; she is rather polite, though, and has fought dragons before! (Not far enough along the time line to slay the world-nding beast of her canon, though, whoops)

BECAUSE THE MOUNTAIN WAS TAKEN AND HE HAD TO GET JOBS TO SUPPORT HIS KINGDOM ALSO I THINK DWARVES BASICALLY COME OUT OF THE WOMB WITH HAMMERS AND PICK-AXES.

Yes very good. I definitely want to get him out there with jobs and CR through his work. And they can bond over dragons and fighting. X3

I'd love for some CR with Thorin. Elissa's friends with Galadriel (though that won't help, really) and two of her closest friends at home are dwarves. why are there so few dwarves in Exsilium WHY

She can spar with him, eventually tell him of the Archdemon dragon she fought, their world differences... Any one or all of these things! It's up to you.

XDDD He's actually going to bring that up in the post I'm making tomorrow, and Thorin hasn't even come across Gimli yet. Lack of other dwarves makes him an even wetter blanket.

Oh man, I would like any one of those things, or all of them. But a sparring partner would be awesome. Maybe after the event has run its course, we can set up a log or something?

I'd be totally down for that and we can see where things go from there! I just really want Thoin CR.

I'd love to maybe build some CR with Thorin. Anduin would be interested in meeting a Dwarf that wasn't from Azeroth - he spent some time living with them and enjoys being around Dwarves, and would likely call him out on some of his stuff if you'd like!

Just reading the first couple paragraphs of your app about him not letting rage or hatred cloud his judgment, I think they would have some interesting conversations. So let's definitely do something. o/

can i say that i adore this CR so far, is that a legit comment :V i totally want to see where it goes, and one day maybe HEY SURPRISE GUESS WHO YOU'VE BEEN TALKING TO, IT'S ONE OF THOSE DARN BIG LIZARDS.

I'd say it is a legitimate comment--or at least it's one I fully agree with. I've been having so much fun with their thread so far, especially the way her snark bounces off his stoic personality, and it would be interesting to see it develop. God forbid it goes on for a while, he starts to trust her, and then he finds out what she is. XDD

agreed! this is a fun dynamic 8] and khisanth doesn't make herself very easy to trust, on account of mostly being a very obviously selfish asshole, but dang if it somehow managed to move in that direction i would basically be delighted
