Character: kyouko ★ madoka magica ★ invocation

Character Info: A somewhat crass, blunt and aggressive magical girl, who, in canon, eschews her faith and turns her back on her mentor after the wish she makes to protect her family ends up destroying it. Due to a past where she nearly starved to death, she has a compulsive eating habit and is rarely seen without food. Kyouko lives a selfish life with selfish ideals until she meets Sayaka and is reminded of the person she'd been before her life went to hell. She is, despite her age and stature, a skilled and often ruthless combatant, as well as a magical powerhouse.

In her months in Exsilium she has softened somewhat, and the parts of her that were innocent and good have reconciled with her more matured, pragmatic side. She recently spent two weeks as her younger self, and was notably friendlier and more willing to help others.
Upcoming Plans: Kyouko has handled her foray back into childhood better than my other character and is actually the least...maladjusted of the three at the moment. That said, her CR suffers the most because she forms few genuine bonds and is still kind of an asshole.

She gets kind of stir-crazy, so I have some tentative plans on getting her in a VR simulation at some point and doing some sparring (something she excels at). I really want to get her back into more combat oriented things since I feel like I've neglected that :( And...I think she is to the point where she could have another Mami-esque person in her life without wanting to die of unworthiness. Some sort of older mentor figure she can confide in. Madoka does a good job of it, but someone a little older I would like.

Before Sayaka's canon update I want to do more cute and fun things with her. Someone to drag her outside to do regular kid stuff that isn't eating or stalking her friends.

CR/Plotting Desired: It's hard...for me to build CR with Kyouko because she's so disinclined to take interest in people who aren't magical girls. That being said, I would like her to re-meet the people she met as a younger girl since those folks have a better chance of kind of getting past her angry outer shell. That's Sheryl (especially!), Erza, Saber (the blue one), Shirou (Archer??), Rin, Rika, possibly Anthy (as Sayaka and Kyouko were around each other a lot it stands to reason she met Anthy at least once.) I may be forgetting a few people. She may actively seek out Shirou, Saber, Rika and Sheryl and has a passing knowledge of Rin. The others I'm less sure about but yes. I am reaching out my arms to embrace you.

I dropped the ball on the WWW threads because I overburdened myself tag-wise right before part 2 of the event, but I'd like to work on the CR there also: that's Shirou, one...of the Sabers (the red one!), Kratos, Hubert, Martin and Rika.

Yeah I would like that! I'd actually like...something that might facilitate them getting a closer bond, but I'm not sure what :|a. Like they get along well but I want to deepen...their CR in some way. Probably some sad emotional way because these kids...these sad children.

It's late so my brain isn't working the way it should but we should brainstorm one of these days!

She was pretty much a huge jerk to him, yes. Sorry Kratos!! If they met again she would scowl and continue to be a jerk but I think their CR has the potential to be hilarious.

And she doesn't know many adults so it would be good for her in the long run c:

I dont' really have an older mentor figure, but since they are roommmates I would love some CR between her and Dagger. No idea how they'd get along but hey we can always try!

Oh yay...Dagger!! Fun fact IX is my like...second favorite Final Fantasy other than XIII. Or like. idk third. It's up there!! Sorry I just had some medicine so I'm a little loopy.

But yes I would enjoy roommate shenanigans. Kyouko isn't around too often, but Dagger has likely seen her pop up to raid the fridge or something. I rarely have the opportunity to do roommate stuff with Kyouko so I'd be really excited to see how she and Dagger get along. Or don't, whichever the case may be.

mitsuki ishikawa | original character

Character: mitsuki ishikawa ★ original ★ drowns

Character Info: Mitsuki's life and backstory can be considered a gruesome combination of The Truman Show and various magical girl shows: an alien force that regularly uses the people of Earth as its entertainment decided to create a show based on the popular magical girl or mahou shoujo genre. To that end, they picked seven girls at birth to serve as their protagonists, and manipulated and twisted their lives to make them exemplify various traits commonly seen in the genre.

Mitsuki was meant to fill the spot of the intelligent, shy blue-haired girl. To achieve the level of withdrawn behavior and isolation common to this character type, they completely destroyed her home life by driving her mother to insanity. Her father was unable to gain custody of his children, and her sister eventually broke under the pressure of caring for Mitsuki and her mother and left them. This resulted in Mitsuki's intense fear of abandonment in tandem with withdrawn anxiousness when forced into social situations, and soft-spoken shyness (so as not to invoke the ire of others). However, she lashes out in passive-aggressive, underhanded ways because of her feelings of self-loathing and helplessness. As a result of her mother's struggles with mental illness, she is deeply unnerved by and fears those with similar issues, though she usually takes on a distantly polite (if insincere) attitude toward those people.

As common with her character type, Mitsuki controls the elements of ice and water. She is notably more callous and unconcerned with trivialities as a magical girl, as she takes on aspects of her real personality when in combat situations. Her magical girl disguise is modeled after the image of the ninja in contemporary fiction, and functions much in the same way as the transformations in Sailor Moon, that is, a magical (or alien-induced in this case) mental barrier of sorts prevents people from being able to tell it is her.

She has a history of physical and psychological abuse, as aforementioned, and so her emotional reactions have suffered for it. She's very sad :(
Upcoming Plans: Jesus idek...

She doesn't use her magic in public yet (all of her practice is at night in the VR machine) and spends 80% of her time reading through the network archived stuff or sitting in the library. She rarely sleeps unless it is there. She's planning on helping Jesse bake cookies and that will be cute, and relearning how to play the viola, so she'll be in the music room a lot. I think she may help with basic first aid in the clinic. Mostly my plans are her being nervous and miserable, in that order.
CR/Plotting Desired: Oh man she just...needs friends, a lot. She's REALLY sad and very withdrawn so it's hard to get there but it's possible.

A lot of her network threads end in her not giving out a name or whatever but people who might press for that I want you...in my life. Someone who would be inclined to keep an eye on her also since for all intents and purposes she looks like a harmless bespectacled little teenager. Someone who would make her go outside! Just...friends period, I'd like her to have. She's lonely but she has a really hard time reaching out to others, so weh.

I would really just love CR with any of your three, but off the top of my head I think maybe Mitsuki would work with her best? Maya would definitely try to cheer her up/be her friend. I think she's persistent and perceptive enough to maybe make some headway 'w'

Character: utena tenjou ★ revolutionary girl utena ★ revolutionized

Character Info: A girl who wants to be a prince! Utena is a cheerful, naive and brave girl who aspires to be a prince after meeting one when she was a child. This is, however, a glossed-over and Disneyfied version of what really happened, so a lot of her behavior is actually in reaction to a traumatic experience. That said, she is friendly and has a good heart...but her inability to read between the lines and her too-trusting, brash nature get her in over her head more often than not. She is an accomplished fencer, and wields a blade known as the Sword of Dios. Her best friend is Anthy Himemiya, and she defends her in a series of duels. They have a p. deep...emotional connect so the relationship often toes the line between friendship and romance. She is classmates with Nanami Kiryuu, though they do not get along very well.

Right now, Utena is having a complete identity crisis. Oops. She is handling it somewhere in the range of "horribly" and "not at all."
Upcoming Plans: She's gonna do a belated post thanking people who put up with her and Anthy as a kid, studiously blowing off any probing questions, and making a suggestion for rebuilding the broken-down Civic Gardens, as she's taken an interest in it.

I have recently discovered various sporting events can be simulated in the VR machine, so I have some plans for her to start something like that. Baseball, more than likely.
CR/Plotting Desired: I am kind of feeling my way around this character development Utena just went through, so as a result my plans are kind of vague and kind of long-term.

For her existing CR, I'd like to continue to kind of get to the root of her...various emotional/mental issues and for her to slowly work through that with help. Plotting and CR I want would still definitely be an older/adult figure that is a positive influence. I'd like her to meet more adult women also, since she's completely unused to those.

Actually, Robyn, I wanted to let you know, that I was thinking about doing a flower party thing. It's Flora's birthday on the first of March, and she'd just have them there. And cake. This isn't to step on your civic garden plans, or anything! I actually figured it might be a good way to get Utena to notice her? Like HAY WHERE DID YOU GET THESE. I GREW THEM.
