Very..

Aragorn and Kang are going to end up like fire and ice, aren't they? Tell me, what is Kang all about?
governorkang: (Best rethink that / Gonna enjoy this)

He's... practical. He doesn't enjoy killing, but he doesn't feel a shred of remorse for it either, and is the type that would rather just kill a prisoner if they can't/won't give information or present a threat. Mostly, he doesn't like leaving potential threats alive.

He fought in a war decades ago where his side routinely murdered, stole, and worse, and doesn't regret any of it; his kind is not sunshine and roses. Now, he has an I leave you alone and you leave me alone and we can coexist policy.

This will be like clash of the titans. Aragorn could never do half of the deeds Kang as done, not even for his own survival. Unlike his book self, movie!Aragorn comes across as utterly selfless and ultimately good.

It's almost hilarious how "good" he is, but he has to be this way in order to heal a broken land. I don't see him changing anytime soon.
governorkang: (Now that's funny / Smirking)

Then this will be beautiful.

How do we get this show on the road? What is Kang up to nowadays?
governorkang: (Default)

Mostly he's just trying to get his bearings with all this technology, being distrustful of the Initiative and one of his roommates, and getting used to being on friendly-ish terms with an elf from home. Maybe they could run into each other during training, or wandering around the city? What's Aragorn's Weapon?

I support this idea of these two meeting during training. I've been hoping to do a swordplay log soon.

Forged anew by Elven hands, Andúril was once the broken shards of sword Narsil once wielded by King Elendil. This was the blade Aragorn carried during his journeys south as member of the Fellowship. Unlike any common sword, Andúril possesses the faint etchings of Elvish runes upon its blade and sheath that speak of its glory. /totally did not copy and paste

It's also known as the Flame of the West!
governorkang: (This is fun / Go fish!)

The sword, should have known. Kang's is his voice, since his dominant hand is messed up from a battle years ago, but he would try to get some practice in with his left just in case.

His voice? I'm curious. Is it like the Dovahkim's thuum from Skyrim?
governorkang: (Crack!Kang)

[personal profile] governorkang 2012-12-29 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
To quote from his app:

"Kang’s weapon will be his voice. He’s already got some buffs as a level 3 Legendary Tactician; it will improve Inspire Courage and Direct Troops’s effects. It will also increase his diplomacy and intimidation score, and eventually, he may even be able to influence people to do what he wants against their will. If that were to happen, he’d use it extremely sparingly. Should he ever decide to pick up magic again, his spells will cause more damage and have more powerful effects."

He's an official D&D canon character and I'm a nerd like that.

Really? If that's the case, then Kang is a very dangerous foe to have. He better use that amazing power VERY sparingly!
