ACTUALLY we've talked to the mods and other characters ARE applicable but they would basically not have become Wardens, since all of the origins existed, but all of them died except the one chosen. So you could still bring your elf over, but they could be taken anytime from the beginning to somewhere around Broken Circle! If that would interest you.

Oooh, excellent. I haven't seen the movies or read the books in a while but I plan to refresh myself on them shortly before I see the Hobbit. I think they could totally get along.
