Just your friendly neighborhood Lich King

Its that time of year, Exsilium.

ITS THE FEAST WINTER VEIL

Which is really just Christmas in Warcraft shh.

It also means its PLOT TIME YAY.

So here's the scoop, ladies and gents. On Tuesday, December 11th, an inconspicuous pen will appear in the center of initiate hold, housing all types of adorable little woodland critters (rabbits, squirrels, sparrows, etc) with a sign posted that they are to be adopted and cared for by transports. They're all motherfucking adorable and disturbingly well behaved -- obviously used to awkward interactions. They don't even shy away from you undead types.

Sadly, its not meant to be. On the eve of December 13th, each critter will simultaneously begin to succumb to a strange disease. It will start with lethargy in the early afternoon, passing onward to refusing food and irritation (will will result in biting this is important for the next part) and finally will end in death.

What a nice Winter Veil gift. 3 days just long enough for people to get attached to them.

Within 5 minutes of dying, each creature will resurrect into a flesh-hungry undead creature. They will flee from all hostile movement and will attract hordes of undead that Arthas has been raising and stockpiling since his arrival. Good on you, Exsilium, for dragging the Lord of the Undead on top of a battlefield full of bodies, eh?

That log will go up Friday, December 14th.

Now, if you opt to be bitten by your furry little friend, CONGRATULATIONS. You have now contracted the plague of undeath and will succumb to the same fate as your companion if you are not cured by some form of holy magic within 24 hours time. Undeath takes different forms for every species, so have fun with that if that's something you want to do. If you would like general guidelines, please note that your character will be shifting into a form of lesser undead.

What that means for you is that your character will:

- Lose most/all sense of self
- Gain an insatiable hunger for flesh and blood
- Be compelled to obey Arthas' commands
- Probably be very ugly for the duration of their unlife

Your character will remain this way until killed by another, at which point they will go through the normal resurrection process outlined by the game rules.

There will also be a minor hostage situation as Arthas will be locking down Jaina Proudmoore to prevent her from spilling the beans early.

I will put a general mingle log up on tuesday for people to use to pick up the animals and another on friday for when they all turn and start attacking people.

QUESTIONS? Ask below. B) Feel free to plot fight groups and such amongst yourselves in the comments below as well. I'm not going to organize a formal march on Arthas as he won't be present for most of the attack inside of Initiate Hold, but if someone else wants to head that, I will happily oblige.

OH HEY SWEET I joked on my application that Chrono wouldn't get a chance to use this in Exsilium but WHADDAYA KNOW.

So Chrono came to the game with a gigantic wooden box containing a bunch of weaponry designed to work against demons and the undead--mostly guns with bullets that basically do holy damage, but also some holy water in vials and "cross barriers" that can be set up to both trap evil enemies behind them and serve as a shield from attacks. I think I'm going to be nice and allow Chrono to avoid being infected, buuuut he'll probably want to share some of his weapons with others since there's more than he could reasonably use at once and he's more of a hand-to-hand fighter anyway.

tl;dr--Who knows how to use a gun and would like some extra fire power to fight against the zombies after they turn? =D

Shepard would never say no to more fire power. She's also kind of got a "the more guns the merrier" attitude about life.
tenmorehours: (⌚ Hi there!)

Awesome, then Shep will have a gun! It'll probably seem a little archaic to her since they're more or less based on guns from the 1920s, but the concept is still the same; point and shoot.
specthis: ([Bemused] I think you're kind of a moron)

It'll probably seem really archaic to her. Speaking of which there will probably be something similar to an OMG A GUN THAT ACTUALLY USES BULLETS? WHO EVEN DOES THAT ANYMORE??

Still a gun is a gun and she's damned good at point and shoot.
tenmorehours: (⌚ But how?)

[personal profile] tenmorehours 2012-12-10 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Pffft Chrono will be so confused. But awesome, that'll work great!
specthis: ([Smile] Up for some competition?)

[personal profile] specthis 2012-12-11 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
That's what happens when you put 1940s with 218x. Culture shock and confusion.
tenmorehours: (⌚ We've got a badass over here)

[personal profile] tenmorehours 2012-12-11 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeeeeep, this whole place is one big culture shock landmine. Chrono's still trying to get used to the tablet and social networking. (Although technology is...really weird in the series he's from because ALIENS so they actually have big communication screens in his home city. He just sucks with technology pretty hardcore.)
tenmorehours: (⌚ Good news!)

One zombie-killing gun to the crazy man with the mask, coming right up!
