Hello Exsilium! I'm Haley, completely new to the game, and with me I'm bringing Chrono from Chrono Crusade!
Chrono's a young boy that in his native world serves as the assistant to Sister Rosette Christopher, a gun-totin', demon-slaying nun and exorcist living it up in 1924. She's a real spitfire, so Chrono's used to being the calmer, "polite" one of the duo and does his best to be patient and keep Rosette in check.
He's also actually a demon that's probably nearly a century old, and is contracted to Rosette to replace his horns, which were ripped out of his head long ago and took his ability to absorb astral energy to use his powers with them. Now he uses Rosette's own soul to fuel his powers instead, which is not-so-slowly killing her. Considering he's really, really attached to Rosette, this causes no small amount of angst. (Really, most of Chrono's personality and backstory could be described as "cute, polite kid on the outside, RAGING BALL OF ANGST AND DESTRUCTION on the inside!")
Normally Chrono wouldn't be able to switch to his true form without Rosette unsealing his powers, but Chrono's chosen that as his "weapon", so on missions he'll be able to once again be his tall, muscle-bound, scary demon self--albeit with limited powers until it "evolves."
Chrono's coming from the manga, right before the "Marionette Train" arc, iiif...that means anything to anyone here. I'll probably get around to ICly having him show up tomorrow, since it's late and I still have a few things I'd like to fix up on this account before I feel that it's "ready". But...yeah. I'm excited to get to playing and meeting all of you!
