Defense Meeting Details
Okay so Defense Meeting hoohah for those interested or stalking or whatever else.
Time to get down to the nitty gritty. Let me apologize now because this is going to be long-winded but if you can take the time to read through it all, I'd greatly appreciate it and also FEEDBACK. I need some since hohooo I get carried away far too often.
Okay first off, thanks for the interest guys, despite Fiona the Prickly giving off all the wrong vibes. I wasn't expecting this player plot nonsense to even get off the ground so THIS HAS BEEN SO COOL. /GUSHES okay. Now business time.
My idea is to cut things down into half-IC/half-OOC for the sake of organization. So bear with me and I'll try to keep this simple.
ICly:
There will be a meeting NEXT Friday (11/9) to, again; chat it up, wiggle your way into making associates, show off character skills, etc.
The third meeting in mid-December will have Nominations for leader figures at the beginning and Voting at the end. ICly it will take 3 Nominations to be considered for Voting (Likely being dropped down to 2) and characters cannot nominate themselves. The middle of this meeting will be speeches, chattering, get to know the candidates yada yada.
The goal at the moment is to have 5 leader figures at the end of the Voting. Consider them Captains and people will be broken into groups (Groups are likely going to be decided at random with some minor changes - if you want A to be in a group with B say so and it'll be arranged :>) None of the groups are set in stone after being made. Anything/Everything is flexible so please don't worry toooo much and this is a ways off from now. The fourth meeting will be to see if the current groups/leaders work as is with the potential for changes. But that's not until January so don't stress on that now! And a head leader figure won't be decided until maybe the fifth meeting (Feb?)- if this plot even lasts that long. And yes, meetings are gonna hopefully be once a month.
OOCly: (Here's where it gets tricky)
OKAY. So. First off, Fiona does not actually need to be nominated or voted for or anything. I'll be more than happy to help organize things OOCly without her loud input being there ICly. But I also have no problems passing on the torch either. :)
Nominations and Voting will be done in two separate OOC posts! But the responses are meant to be In Character. This is so the log posts will solely be for interactions with other characters and so Nominations don't get drowned out. Again, 3 Nominations to be considered for voting, depending on numbers I might cut this down to 2. I'll be putting up the Nominations OOC post at the end of November so backtagging can happen and so that by the IC log post (3rd meeting) everyone will know OOC/IC who is to be nominated and can act accordingly. The Voting OOC post (responses meant to be IC, of course) will be two weeks after the 3rd meeting's log is posted. Again, so backtagging can happen and so your characters have a good idea who to shoot for.
IF your character has gone to ONE meeting 1st, 2nd, or 3rd they are eligible to Nominate/Be nominated and can Vote. You do not need to have replies to all three logs - that's ridiculous. If you wanna handwave a character in, it's totally understandable (so long as they've replied once). One Nomination can be made per character and one vote. Easy peasy, right? If your character has a way to cheat and fool the system, feel free to explain so when the Nomination/Voting posts come along it'll be considered. (Like if they can clone themselves or something absurd.)
Nominations will be by comment, Voting will be by poll.
SO WHAT ON EARTH IS THE GOAL OF THIS?:
DEFENSE! But let's be honest this is an army we're building. Keep to your groups and keep them safe. Individual groups once formed can choose what to focus on. If they want to be offense, defense, watching out for the injured, the sneaky group - that's the groups to be made's call. HAVE FUN WITH THIS, OKAY?
Regardless of the Voting outcome, Fiona will be speaking to those voted in on a separate time because she's a prickly person and wants to see this go in the right direction - but that's for a later time.

The voting won't be until the third meeting (ICly speaking) and even those who only show up for the third can technically participate in the voting (just not the nominations...). If during the second meeting Byakuya were to chat around, prove some cool moves to others etc. he might even get some nominations come the third meeting. It's worth a try right? All of this will be explained ICly in a speech at the beginning of the meeting so don't worry Byakuya will be filled in too on most of this.
I'll probably throw up an IC post for Fiona in the coming week announcing the meeting to newcomers and encouraging them to take a peek. Or just... have Byakuya stumble into it. Whatever floats your boat.
