Hello hello! Among all these other people apping in, I'm Nabi, and it's nice to meet all of you!

Those of you familiar with Homestuck may recognize my character as Sollux Captor, and for those unfamiliar, he's a troll (both as a species and of the internet sort), he's psychic (in the way of telekinesis/eye lasers/hearing the voices people about to die), and he's moody as all hell.

He also uses a typing quirk when using text. I know some people don't like the way Homestuck characters type, so if you would like me not to use it (or if you're wondering what his quirk is in the first place), I have a post here about it. If you want to opt out, go right ahead, and I'll type any text messages normally for your character(s).

Hi Nabi! I'm Gwen, I play Sollux's flatmate, apparently. His moody flatmate who also has one red eye and one... not. '-' Does the way Sollux looks mean anything in Homestuck? I admit I'm entirely canon-blind.

Oh hey! I'm equally ignorant of your character and his canon, so I'll have to figure out stuff as I go, too.

Sollux's eyes are visual sign of his Vision Twofold, a psychic ability. Namely it's relevant to seeing visions of the future, sort of, via the whole hearing the voices of the imminently deceased (those about to die but not actually dead), and also his ability to shoot red and blue eye lasers at will.

(He's also got telekinesis, as mentioned above, but that's just... kind of... there for no real explained reason.)

He's got four horns, also, instead of the usual two, since his whole gig is that of duality and bifurcation. He's associated with the astrological symbol for Gemini, the twins, which is where it comes from.

... haha, see, in Vincent's canon, anybody with red eyes is regarded as a bringer of misfortune. And his only experience with non-humans so far tends to be in the form of... monsters who work on contract. This may work out completely terribly yet! Sorry about your bad luck, Sollux.

Oh, well, Sollux's title in this game he played? Mage of Doom.

... Not that... he really has any specific powers gained from that, but oh well! He's got enough pessimism for anyone and then some.

Ahahaha, not that bad. He's much snarkier, and he swings around to boasting now and then when not sunk into self-loathing. He's described as bipolar, though not in the clinical sense - he flips back and forth a lot on moods with certain impetus.

Nice to meet you! Sollux actually flings around meteors in canon if that gives you an idea, but I wouldn't be opposed to that at all if it comes up.

How large of meteors? Zoë manages to hold together a metal shell made out of wreckage large enough to hold about a dozen people through atmospheric reentry in her canon, and it's not really clear how much that actually strained her.

I'm... not actually sure. :|a They don't look super huge. But he kept it up for a while too, while simultaneously flying. I just know he's no slouch, given certain canon cues and what can be inferred from a related character.

I've only recently started actually reading Homestuck, and the further I get in the more I love it. I am so excited for Sollux. :D He's pretty great!

I haven't seen enough of him yet to have any really firm opinion on him, but I've really enjoyed his general attitude and surliness and also I feel AWFUL for him having been used to kill Aradia, that sucks so much.

He didn't interest me much at first, to be honest, but then when I got to thinking more on him as a whole I realized he's the kind I love. Then I just had to wonder at myself why the hell I didn't notice sooner. xD

But yeah, he definitely has a rough life.
