xavier institute planning!

hey hey errybodeh!! So as I mentioned here in my AC thread, Charles is going to be starting up an Xavier Institute in Exsilium!

He's received permission from the Initiative to start a school, under the conditions that they pretty much don't have to do anything to help him out. So what that means is, he's found himself an abandoned building... but it's pretty gross and messy. Like THIS. It doesn't really have the materials he needs, so he's going to be asking for help finding, building, or repairing all of the necessary items—school supplies, desks, chairs, whiteboards and blackboards, you name it. He'll have an IC network post about it upcoming either tonight or tomorrow, and then I'll try to get an open log up too for anyone interested in helping rebuild this building and furnish it into a school!

CHARLES IS AN OPTIMISTIC FOOL AND THIS IS HIS LIFE DREAM. EVERYONE DESERVES AN EDUCATION, EVEN A GROUP OF RAGTAG EXILES ON A PRISON ISLAND.

ALSO, IS YOUR CHARACTER A TEACHER, A STUDENT, OR AN OTHERWISE SCHOLARLY-INDIVIDUAL? YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A MUTANT YOU JUST HAVE TO EXIST. They are welcome to let ME, OR CHARLES ICLY, KNOW!! that they want to be a part of the institute. We'll keep a directory of students and staff, and perhaps there will be some school-related events in game someday. This is what the directory will look like (any additional formatting suggestions are totally welcome).

also, all of the potential jobs at the xavier institute like teacher, janitor, cafeteria chef, etc... are paid! they're paid with a small salary that's provided by the initiative, so it's enough to live on, but it's not luxurious by any means. ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS THANG

I WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN THIS BUT I DUNNO HOW AAAAH ;~; Adam's studied Criminal Justice and knows a lot of shit from his time in SWAT--he's good with computers but probably not good enough and also doesn't have the patience on top of not making for a good teacher to begin with FFFT. he can help refurnish by punching down walls???

also THOUGH, and i think liz mentioned it but i am a loser, i just recently answered this additional faq question and that may IRRELEVANT TO THIS POST be of interest to him!!

like setting up some sort of transport law enforcement or something since there isn't one at present B) I THINK THAT IS WHAT YOU ALREADY TALKED ABOUT WITH LIZ and i'm so sorry i don't have a job postings page up yet but it's welcome to be handwaved w/ permissionses from me until then ;-;

ooohh that would definitely be of interest to him however he's not really into playing cop anymore! what he's perfectly fine with is setting up security related stuff and taking care of threats on his own and do a LOT OF SNOOPING AROUND AS A PERSONAL TERMINATOR but without having to, you know, actually adhere to laws all the time like a good law enforcement officer should. he likes to invade people's privacy and punch them when he feels like it.

I guess he would help with law-related stuff since he helps out former colleagues in canon, too, but not, you know--officially.

SORRY FOR RAMBLING augh but yes this is why I wanted him to be in charge of. security related. things. ACTUALLY would the school need something like that too since I just remembered that over at the other game I play him at, Smash Academy, Adam's actually taking care of campus security more or less successfully

no rambling is totally 100% acceptable. YEAH HE CAN COMPLETELY BE IN CHARGE OF SECURITY STUFF INSTEAD WITH THE INITIATIVE. they'd pay him pretty well for it too tbh (better than charles' ragtag team of teachers haha)

HE COULD DO INITIATIVE SECURITY OR SCHOOL SECURITY!! whichever you wanna do the most :3 he'd get paid more working for the initiative if that is anything for him to consider
