⚔ HOW'S MY DRIVING? ⚔

Welcome to Exsilium's second game-wide HMD! These will be occurring once every three months as has been voted upon here.

How It Works:

The gamewide HMD is an opportunity for players to come together and bring each other feedback about one another's playing. Constructive criticism is encouraged, however what that means is that it must be constructive. If you are going to offer up criticism, we encourage that you provide suggestions to the player within your critique. We are here to improve! It is also acceptable to let someone know if you enjoy their playing, but note that unhelpful or empty responses ("Oh, I love you so much!!", "Your playing is bad and you should feel bad.") without any real substance are discouraged.

If you like what a player is doing, tell them exactly what it is and why! If you have questions about their playing, this is what this forum is for as well.
It is not mandatory, and you have no obligation to respond if you don't wish to.

Anonymous commenting is enabled and IP logging is on due to some disrespectful behavior. Please remember to be thoughtful and respectful in your crit-giving. Full Disclosure: The moderator team may still be given anonymous, non-IP logged criticism here at the suggestions page or their personal HMD posts.

Nothing at this time! I've been trying to tag out a bit more with both of my guys; my tagging speed here is a bit slow, but I always try to be around when I make posts and tag stuff and things!! Additionally, I've only been playing Loki since mid-June—I would love any feedback on him. Charles, too, of course, but he's a stronger voice for me and Loki is still kind of in developmental stages!

Loki gets a lot of heat from the RP community & people seem to look on his portrayals with an UNUSUAL amount of intensity, but I have to say that I like what you're doing! He's the right mix of cranky douche and sly talker, and you manage his elevated diction without it seeming artificial or forced.

Thank you very much! I had worried a bit about his diction, and sometimes I fear that I may use too many modifiers to try to carry his voice across; this was quite helpful!

You don't tag around a lot, even with Charles, who you say is your stronger muse. That looks bad on a mod.

I don't disagree that I could stand to tag around more with them both—though Charles has tagged about four to five new things in this past week, as well as Loki. As it stands, I'd thought I was doing pretty sufficiently with the two of them as my activity began to build more here.

With that said, what do you feel would be a more substantial amount of tagging out? I only ask because while yes, I do need to get them out more, I'd been actively focusing on it more this month and I'm surprised to hear that I haven't met expectations!

I think it might be a case of the one month not making up for many months of history in peoples minds.

I've been in the game for a couple of months, and I still haven't seen a tag from you on one of my posts. And except for the Loki post about his PB twin, I can't remember when you've made a general post with your people. Or had an open log.

I will keep that in mind. When I get the chance, I'll definitely try to go through and get my characters active on some network posts!

It'd do good to get each of 'em set up with an open log, too. Thank you for the suggestions—when I'm not swamped and have the time to really dedicate to it, I'll work on this diligently!

Seconding that I would like to see more effort branching out with Charles. He's a leader in his canon, he knows how to talk to people and get them to work together. I haven't seen him doing any of that.

I agree with the anon in the moderator thread too. You guys are the face of the game. Your newer players are more active in greeting and helping newbies adjust than you are which is sad.
