Yes, they can discover the specifics! Basically, everything that's mentioned in this OOC post is fair game to be learned about, after some poking around in the system. However it won't be the Transport AI telling them this, since it's too overwhelmed to do much communicating even with assistance (they'll just get the same "kill me" message), this would instead be learned by studying the system/network itself.
