well he wouldn't deny being a hypocrite and a thief!! he's well aware that his field trip will probably end up dooming some hapless civilians, he just... doesn't... care... all that much. his moral compass has always been kind of battered and the bulk of his compassion is reserved for people he knows/is attached to. so he likely wouldn't really defend himself from kanaya's denouncement, just give her a bunch of miserable crap about being already doomed himself and failing to give a shit about the pointless personal timelines of a couple of npcs.

he'd still give up on the whole endeavor (calling him out would make him feel guilty) but he wouldn't deny any of the accusations she made.

HE'S REALLY ACTUALLY GONNA TRY AND KEEP THE TITAN THING ON THE DOWNLOW so it'll need to be a slower burn 'cause that's gonna need to come out somehow. probably somehow terrible because really it's a worst case scenario kind of thing... BUT once it does he'd be 100% curious about people who can pull off similar shit because (as far as he knows right now) he's the only titan shifter around and he doesn't understand it at all it's all trial and error it's terrible

so yes ANY POISON IS GOOD POISON cr memes are when I admit I don't know any canons ever, it's mortifying.

ahaha YEAH MAYBE...A LITTLE. Maybe a lot. He's actually far from unreasonable, he just Cares A Lot in general and he's prone to dialing himself up to 11 about just about anything (and when he gets set off, he gets set off.) Given the events of his canon it makes for a generally angry and violent and otherwise messed up kid, but he does have mostly good intentions, and he does actively look for ways to be a Better Soldier.

Having someone who's (sort of?) been there and learned to temper herself would probably be good for him! I'm totally behind it.

Kate actually hasn't done much vigilante stuff either. The setting has long made her wonder if she needs to be more soldier or Bat. :[ It's just so hard.

I THINK Raiden should also learn of these emergency underground shelters Kate (and Jude) have looked into. Especially with Richard being gone... and his ominous warning.

oh my god they can create a terrible angry teenage feedback loop, let's do it

even if they don't exactly hit it off, he makes friends(???) with at least one of his canonmates by recreationally yelling at each other/being giant assholes to each other over the course of three years so really it'll be nice(??) to have someone who'll yell back when he deserves it (FROM MY ADMITTEDLY LIMITED HOMESTUCK KNOWLEDGE correct me if I'm terribly wrong)
