⚔ HOW'S MY DRIVING? ⚔

Welcome to Exsilium's game-wide HMD! These will now be occurring once every two months, instead of once every three.

How It Works:

The gamewide HMD is an opportunity for players to come together and bring each other feedback about one another's playing. Constructive criticism is encouraged, however what that means is that it must be constructive. If you are going to offer up criticism, we encourage that you provide suggestions to the player within your critique. We are here to improve! It is also acceptable to let someone know if you enjoy their playing, but note that unhelpful or empty responses ("Oh, I love you so much!!", "Your playing is bad and you should feel bad.") without any real substance are discouraged.

If you like what a player is doing, tell them exactly what it is and why! If you have questions about their playing, this is what this forum is for as well.
It is not mandatory, and you have no obligation to respond if you don't wish to.

Anonymous commenting is enabled for the sake of anonymous crit, and IP logging is on for the sake of continued accountability. Only moderators will see IP addresses and they will only be checked if things get out of hand. Please remember to be thoughtful and respectful in your crit-giving. Full Disclosure: The moderator team may still be given anonymous, non-IP logged criticism here at the suggestions page or their personal HMD posts.

Additional Comments: This game takes Christopher down a path very different from the one I usually end up playing him as taking in other games, and it also is practically the reverse of his canonical development. The usual trajectory is developing from an object/pile-of-defense-mechanisms-built-up-to-make-a-conscious-mind and transforming into a more realized person, less dominated by fear, more able to make choices for himself and empathize with others without cutting it off as a survival strategy. In this game, he started doing that—until he started getting dragged backwards. I'm accustomed to moments of backsliding, not a totally opposite trajectory with little hope of reversing directions. So this is something I haven't done before! It's changed the tone of a number of his interactions from what I would otherwise do, too, and it is based a lot on reading between the lines. So I'm particularly open to criticism on that front—as well as every other one, including ones I haven't thought of.

I'm also trying to figure out how to work out more spec-ops stuff - I keep dropping the ball on that, and I feel horrible, so thoughts on that are more than welcome.
