Spec Ops recruitment: the plotting post!
So, following up with the OOC plotting post I promised here! Log will go up... probably before I go to bed tonight, aka very early Thursday PDT.
Basically, Nate is going to let each team run the same course while he and a few people who's judgement he trusts (or at least mostly trust, hi Remy) observe. Everyone else gets to wait in the hallway, and the teams going first don't get to spoil it for everyone else - they all go into this blind. However - if you can actually sneak something past Nate, he doesn't consider it cheating. Only if you get caught ;)
The course is fairly basic - it starts in a stretch of woods (which yes, has lots of nice noisy leaf litter), followed by a fairly open, flat stretch of maybe fifty yards long, then a cliff face about twelve feet high. It's rough enough that a moderately skilled climber could probably free-hand it. Up at the top, set back a bit, is a small concrete outpost. Two guards outside, one inside with the equipment. The objective is to get in, copy the data stored there, trash the equipment, and get out again. And that means the whole team - if one person does the whole job and everyone else hides in the woods, well - unless you have a really excellent explanation, Nate will find something for you guys to do to make up for it. Trying to go sideways around things will just result in the terrain looping back around because... he threw this together kind of fast, okay. Sorry guys.
Nothing here is super-time sensitive, but if your team feels as a whole like you're not going to be able to log it out (I know some people are on hiatus, etc) just hash out what would happen OOCly and let me know. If someone doesn't show up OOCly - we'll go with them not showing up ICly either. Shit happens, etc. Nate will reshuffle teams if necessary.
Feel free to ask any questions you have here, and otherwise just use this post for plotting stuff out.
EDIT: Now with (slightly belated) log!
