Oooh, yes, possibly! DGM never really makes an issue of it, but it could certainly be something they can talk about! Also the centuries in time difference but a conversation is a conversation!

duly noted. and that's even more of an interesting point! how far apart is DGM's timeline from 2015, exactly?

If I recall correctly, they're in the 1880s-1890s era. Some tech is handwaved--they have some stuff that's pretty much impossible/too advanced for the era, but there's enough difference that there's a lot of stuff she wouldn't know or understand.
