Character: Kanaya Maryam ★ HOMESTUCK ★ speakveryclearly
Character Info: Kanaya comes from a spartan alien civilization with a murderous moral code and strict caste roles. Her jade blood means she should be preoccupied with the cultural equivalent to matters of the hearth. Fussing over children and reproduction and household order and things like that. Oh, but she's also a walking parody of Twilight vampires. By now not only has the apocalypse thoroughly occurred in her canon but she's a CRAU with a number of bad experiences, which has led her to feel fiercely indebted to her saviors from such situations, the Initiative!
Upcoming Plans: Kanaya has been piecing her social circle back together after three of the castmates she cared most about dropped within about a month of each other, and combined with the spaceship crash, she's sinking back into the mindset that everyone she ever loves will leave or turn on her, and that nobody will ever really deeply need her more than anyone else. This inner despair of ever being in a stable situation has gotten severe enough that she would totally become a magical girl, I'm not even kidding.
But!! Having given up on long-term personal happiness, she is throwing herself all the more passionately into the short-term joys Exsilium provides, because for now there are people who superficially need her help and like her during the brief time they'll have together before an inevitable abrupt departure. She is working at the Madoka Magica bakery, training like she has no life, and member Number Ten of the Mekakushi Dan.

Get your Kanaya plots while they're hot because near the end of June due to a trip of mine she's going to leave for a series of missions that will take up much of July.

I am so up for this! "Friends, secretly with potential for deep soul sharing and bonding" is basically what Emil here needs himself. He'll be looking to meet new people in the future, so maybe they could talk? He could even relate on the abandonment thing if that came up since being near-immortal can be depressing when your friends aren't, whoops.

Also on a really superficial level, I'd love more CR with nonhuman characters because Emil's still trying to get comfortable with discussing his human-nonhuman-it's-weird status.
