I have an odd question.

Is it possible for me to take a completely different version of my character? By which I mean right now I'm taking Sharpe from the TV series, but is it possible for me to take him from the books? The timelines are different, but I just want to take Sharpe from Trafalgar right after he met Nelson. >_>
