Intro

Using a wolf icon because this is important to know! This is Bear (player of Kanji and Gamzee) bringing in an OC who's a werewolf and a doctor (well, still a first year resident but shh). He's friendly and wants to take care of people and for no one ever to find out he sometimes turns into a disturbingly large dire wolf. This will probably not be a thing that happens, since he'll be living in close quarters with so many people with powers and abilities and advanced senses.

He'll be starting out just a little (or a lot) upset because werewolves don't really function all that well alone, but trying to push past it and be a good doctor. As a note, he is contagious in both forms, but he keeps his human intelligence so he isn't any more dangerous as a wolf. Just don't let him bleed on you...

In light of that HMD and an important Permissions post.

He also does wear glasses, even if I couldn't find a PB with them and has wolfish senses, so I'd love some sensory shenanigans.

Nah, unless he forgot to take them off and the transformation didn't ruin them.

The glasses are actually fake to hide the fact that his eyes will shine like a wolf's would when the light hits. And also because Isaac likes the way they look, honestly. Oh vanity.

Well, technically, possibly? It is a virus, just a nasty one that carries other DNA with it. So any human could become a werewolf (or any of several thousand documented strains) if they are put in contact with the virus.

Or they could be born to Were parents which is safer, though not necessarily less painful.

Hi there! I'm Gazebo (Anders' player) and I just brought in this character, Rickon Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire. He has a direwolf (Shaggydog) with him. How would Isaac react to a non-were direwolf? Would they smell something odd about one another?

Isaac would be fascinated! Confused, because non-were direwolves have been extinct in his universe for hundreds of thousands of years, but fascinated! He'd recognize Shaggydog as a real direwolf after a moment or two, because of the smell.

As far as smell goes, Isaac smells a little bit similar to a human, a little bit like direwolf, but not really one or the other, or a combination of both either. It's a unique smell, that if given a label would be, "were-direwolf." Weres do have a distinct smell both from humans and from the animals that they become. It's kind of hard to describe.
